St. Mary & Virginia Falls Spring 2026
We've done this one before during the summer, but had a completely different experience in the Spring. It's amazing how you can do a trail multiple times over multiple seasons and it feels completely new. The seasons change the landscape AND the crowds. Spring is a quieter time in Glacier National Park which made parking a breeze and enjoying the waterfall more peaceful. We noticed an increase in hikers carrying.... let's call it, "bear protection." Typically in the park ther

Pitamakin Dawson Loop: FAVORITE GNP Trail
September 13, 2025 Officially the best hike we’ve ever done. And considering we’ve voluntarily walked uphill for fun quite a few times now, that’s saying something. This trail has a little bit of everything: dramatic mountain views, turquoise alpine lakes, wildlife encounters, questionable emotional decisions, and even a scenic boat ride at the end when your legs have completely stopped cooperating with you. We tackled Pitamakin Dawson Loop trail, located in the Two Medicine

Camping at Two Medicine Campground
We LOVED this campground. We arrived at Two Medicine Campground to tent camp July 5th 2024. We had a larger spot that was just across from the bathrooms which to me is a PRIME location. When booking a campground, I HIGHLY suggest the Recreation.gov App on your phone. It's the easiest to navigate. Here is the link for more information on Glacier campgrounds We loved that Two Medicine almost seemed like a hidden gem. We had never heard much about it and it was absolutely gorgeo

Kayaking in Kintla Lake
Kintla Lake is located in the North Fork area of Glacier National Park. It's definitely more difficult to get to so many people don't take the time to go visit it. However, WE DECIDED IT WAS TIME to make the long drive out that way. It took about an hour and a half to get to Polebridge Mercantile from Whitefish (WHERE WE LIVE NOW) and we stocked up on GF cookies and huckleberry bear claws (contain gluten so I didn't get to partake, but they were supposedly delicious). After h

Highline Trail to The Loop
Day two of our van trip to Glacier, The Highline Trail - cue the music "dun, dun, dun...." As someone who had never hiked more than six miles, I couldn't believe we were about to do over 14 miles AT ELEVATION. We're from Florida.... where it's flat.... what were we thinking?! The anticipation and anxiety were so real! We got to the Logan Pass parking lot just after 6am and the lot was full. We parked about a quarter mile past Logan Pass, drank our last sips of coffee and hit
